Job Problems For College Graduates
Now college graduates come to realize that it is not easy to get a rewarding job. Many of them can’t get a job right after graduation as shown in the graph.
What are the causes? Give your explanations.
Nowadays,the difficulty of the college graduates to get a job is universally realized.Unemployment after graduation is not the mere problem of a individual,but a social phenomenon which has arisen the attention of the public.As we can read in the chart,the percentage of college graduates who got employed during the year they leave school decreases quickly.The number drops from 96% in 1999 to 88% in 2001,4% annually on average.That is to say,almost one fifth of the graduates group is out of work.
There are several causes for the significant problem in my mind.The boom of the colledge graduates must be the first among all.As in the whole country,the university entrance gate is enlarging while the number of job offers decreasing.The inbalance between the large students crowd and few work oppotunities is the direct reason leading to the high rate of unemployment.
The impact from the highly educated intelligents may be the indirect reason.These years,more and more Masters and Doctors rushed into the Human Resourse Market.They are knowledgable and more competitive,so it is easier for them to get a job.The college students,of course harder.
Poor earnings of the first job is the third reason.It's not that the students could not find a job,but that they could not find a suitable job with a decent earning.In their minds,it is better to eat nothing than eat a little thing.Apparently,their wrong idea lead the embarressing situation of unemployment.
To deal with such complicated situation,our country do have done something.The government has brought out a West Improvement Project which offers a large number of work oppotunities.Although the effiency of the project is limited,its effect is profound,for it means that our country has decided to get rid of it.It is a good news to all of us.

Once in a newspaper,I hit upon a news cartoon of one hen and three cocks. The eggs which had just been produced by the hen were critically described by the cocks as unstandard,uncharictarized and color-boring.Just as the cocks were talking excitedly, the hen was sitting there without a word,looking after her dear babies.
The hen and the cocks stand for two classes of people.People there in the first class are belonging to the 'DOs',while the one in the second class belongs to the 'DON'Ts'.The only habit of the 'DON'Ts' people is to laugh at other men's accievements.The only thing that they eagerly love to do is to poor a stream of ugly words on all successful results,especially the 'eggs' of the 'DO' person.So, it is these people,the talking ones,that hit the confidence of others and even,sometimes, decrease the developing pace of social civilization of the country. |
